A return cable car ticket from Col du Pillon to Scex Rouge costs CHF 95 for adults on the operator's 2026/27 list, and CHF 48 for children aged 6 to 15 and for holders of a Swiss Travel Pass, GA or Half Fare card. Children under 6 ride free. The ticket covers the Peak Walk, the Ice Express chairlift, the Snow Fun Park and the Glacier Walk, and it costs the same online as at the ticket office.

Glacier 3000 sells the return ticket at CHF 95 for adults on its own website and at the ticket office at Col du Pillon. Swiss Travel Pass, GA and Half Fare holders pay the reduced price there.
Almost everyone buys the same ticket: the return trip from Col du Pillon (1,546 m) to Scex Rouge (2,971 m), changing once at the Cabane mid-station. On the operator's new list it costs CHF 95 for adults and CHF 48 at the reduced rate.
When we checked, the operator's FAQ still showed the earlier summer fare of CHF 89 (CHF 45 reduced). One-way tickets and the shorter stages, such as a return to Cabane only, are sold only at the Col du Pillon ticket office and suit anyone planning to walk one section.

Reduced rate: holders of a valid Swiss Travel Pass, SBB GA Travelcard or SBB Half Fare card. Prices per person in CHF, VAT included, from the operator's ticketing page, checked 16 October 2026.
Children under 6 travel free, and so do children holding an SBB Junior card or an SBB Accompanied Child card, which makes the trip good value for families with Swiss rail cards. From 6 to 15 the fare is CHF 48. There is no separate family ticket.
The companion of a person with reduced mobility rides free, and dogs travel free in the cable cars and on the chairlift. One firm rule for parents: babies under 15 months are not taken up, for medical reasons linked to the altitude, and the operator suggests waiting until a child is 2.
Groups of 10 or more pay CHF 76 each, settled in one payment at the ticket office. Larger groups, up to 500 people, can ask the operator for a tailor-made offer at booking@glacier3000.ch.
Is Glacier 3000 included in the Swiss Travel Pass?
Not free, but half price. Holders of a Swiss Travel Pass, an SBB GA Travelcard or an SBB Half Fare card pay CHF 48 for the return instead of CHF 95, and they also get cheaper combined tickets for the dog sled and the Peak Brunch.
The Magic Pass is valid at Glacier 3000 for walkers and skiers from 1 November 2026 to 30 April 2027, which in practice means from the winter opening on 7 November. It does not cover summer visits.
Staying around Gstaad? Your host gives you the Gstaad Card, which makes the PostBus to Col du Pillon free, and Gstaad's tourist office says it also brings 20% off Glacier 3000, so ask at the ticket office. In Les Diablerets the Welcome Card covers the bus up to the cable car.
The return ticket buys a lot more than the ride. At the top it includes the Peak Walk, the 107 m suspension bridge between two summits; the Ice Express chairlift down onto the glacier; the Snow Fun Park; and the Glacier Walk across the ice towards the Quille du Diable. The Peak Walk, Glacier Walk and Snow Fun Park are open all year, weather permitting.
A handful of extras are paid separately: the Alpine Coaster in summer, dog sled rides in winter, the Peak Brunch at Restaurant Le 3, and the Snow Bus, a snowcat ride over the glacier for booked groups of up to 20.

The operator's official online shop, glacier3000.shop, sells the return ticket, a separate reduced ticket for pass holders, and the Peak Brunch and dog sled combinations, at the same price as the ticket office at Col du Pillon, which opens at 08:45. GetYourGuide also sells the operator's return ticket, which is handy if you are booking the rest of your trip there.
Whichever you choose, you cannot book a departure time: cabins leave every 20 minutes from 09:00 and you board when you arrive. Buying ahead simply lets you skip the ticket-office queue.

Glacier 3000: Cable Car Roundtrip Ticket

Departs from Col du Pillon (no transport) · Ticket only, no fixed departure; cabins every 20 minutes
Under the operator's general terms, tickets are not refunded or extended for bad weather, for interruptions to service, or for illness or an accident on a day ticket. Winds gusting over 80 km/h can stop the lifts, so look at the live openings page on glacier3000.ch on the morning you go.
Dog sled rides are the exception: if the operator cancels for weather or snow, you can rebook or ask for a refund. A lost ticket is replaced only with proof of purchase and a CHF 5 fee. If you book through GetYourGuide, its own cancellation terms on the product page apply.
Skiers pay a different price. From 7 November 2026 to 30 April 2027 the operator lists a one-day pass at CHF 84 for adults, CHF 78 for youths and seniors and CHF 54 for children. It includes the return cable car, the Peak Walk, Ice Express, Fun Park, Glacier Walk and the whole ski area.
The new ski prices were only just published in October, so confirm them when you buy. On last winter's tariff a keycard cost CHF 5 if you had neither a keycard nor a SwissPass.
